This is a meme by The Broke and the Bookish, this week it is the top ten books you would like to be made into a TV show or film.
1. The study series by Maria V Snyder
I think it would be a hard film to make, but if it was done well, it would be amazing and the fan base it has already would make it a hit.
2. Age of the Five series by Trudi Canavan
This series is great, it introduces us to new creatures and new ways of life. If someone could pull it off then I would be one happy Emma.
3. The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
Possibly as a TV series though it might work as either, I think it might already be in production but I am not sure. A mystery for sure, it would captivate the audience.
4. The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
With all the beautiful scenery and images in the book you are on a winner from the start in my view. The way it goes back into the past could be very interesting to see on TV. It worked well in a few others I can think of so why not this?
5. Flowers in the Attic by Virginia Andrews
I know it is already a film but I think if it was redone now, it could be great, possibly as a TV series. The emotion in the book is extreme, and some of it is heart wrenching, would be good to watch.
6. City of The Sun by Sarah Bryant
Dystopian films and books are all the rage just now, this is something a bit different in my view and well worth the read. It’s got a timelessness about it which I love.
7. The War of the Fae series by Elle Casey
An urban fantasy which would captivate a the whole audience, it has parts in our world but lots of magical creatures and the fae world as well. What more could you want?
8. The Hex Hall series by Rachel Hawkins
Magic, werewolves, hot healer gardener, vampire best friend and mean witches. Need I say more?
9. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
Nuns who are daughters of death and do his bidding. Yes would love to this made into a film it would be great.
10. The Book of Deacon series by Joseph Lallo
Dragons, magic, evil, more magic and magical dragons, prophecy, mermaid, love and adventure. Like the sound of all that? Well this series has it all in abundance, would love to see it in all it’s glory on the big screen.

Hex Hall is great! I’ve only read the first one (and am looking for the other two) and am posting a review of it this afternoon!
Great list!
Thank you, I will look out for your review later. I have read all three and they are really good. Need to read them again sometime, cannot remember exactly what happened. But I remember being hooked 🙂
Flowers in the Attic definitely needs a re-do! The movie was so different from the book, which was very irritating. I know there are some pretty heavy themes in the book, but it would just be such a good movie, if done correctly.
yep couldn’t agree more. especially now, it’s not uncommon to have not nice themes in films.
Hex Hall would be awesome! I love that series and it would be a great movie! Sophie would be an amazing character.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
It would make for great action and magic scenes, hopefully eventually 🙂
I put aside Grave Mercy because I need time to read it all in one go, but I do agree with you and think both that and Poison Study would make amazing films.
Ye I think I’d be first in queue for both 🙂
The Book of Deacon series looks GOOOD! Really like the style of the covers as well. Will have to add these to my TBR list!
They are really good. The first one is free on kindle. There are a few spelling errors etc on the first few pages but after that it gets better, (may have been updated by now though).
