So I saw a book cover today and it took me a wee while realise why I recognised it, but have never heard of the book before, the book I saw was:
The reason I recognised it was, I read First Impression recently, it’s the same girl and boy in the cover, with the image flipped, and a few things added for Broken.
I wouldn’t mind so much if a picture of a flower or bird or something had been used in both, but a picture of people, it’s just lazy, in my view anyway. I am not sure which one was made first, but by the looks of it, it was was probably First Impression. This has put me off ever wanting to read Broken. Not sure why but it has really annoyed me.
What do you think about this. I look forward to seeing what you have to say.

Agreed! Wow, I’ve seen similar covers before but this one is practically the same cover with a different title.
Similar is fine, there is only so much you can do, and especially for simple covers, it will happen, but even if the cover used two different people in same pose it would have been fine, or the same people in a different pose, I just don’t understand why it was done.
I can’t stand it when I see the same cover over and over again. I have seen this exact same couple in your post posed the exact same way on at least three other books! And it’s not just this couple. I don’t know if you have heard of or read a book called obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout, but the models on the cover of that book are used constantly for YA and NA book covers. I can’t tell them apart half of the time.
Sorry for the mini rant, but you touched on a nerve with this post. Lol
It’s okay, I have heard of that book but not seen them on any other covers, it’s really annoying, how difficult is it to use even a different pose? I just find it lazy. Glad I am not the only one 🙂
