Here we are again with the Friday Face Off meme being hosted by Books by Proxy . This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are fairly simple and can be found here. Each week, following a predetermined theme choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite. This is the first of me doing this, hopefully, it’ll be become a regular feature here. This week the theme is:
Lady in Red
A cover which features a female character in red
There are many cover for these books, I do love the one with the red dress, the castle looks ancient and gorgeous, but I since the purple one is the one I have, I have a special place for it in my heart.

Both are pretty covers but, seeing as purple is my favourite colour, I am leaning towards the 2nd cover more. A woman in a red dress makes me think of the cover on my copy of Mariana by Susanna Kearsley; my favourite time-slip author 🙂
Never heard of that book or author, might check it out 🙂
I think the purple cover is far more appropriate for the story, giving an accurate picture of the fairly dreadful circumstances she finds herself in… Good choice, btw:))
