Maria V Snyder took glass blowing lessons for her Glass series. She learned how to blow different shapes and all the processes so she could accurately describe them for her books. I think it’s great when authors go to such lengths to make sure the details are correct.

One of the Queen Mother’s favourite bedtime reads were books by Dick Francis.

All those stories about horse racing must have appealed to the late Queen Mother.

I saw an entry in the Daily Express yesterday, facts about authors and classic books, I thought I would find some of my own, maybe expand on some of theirs, but I will state if it comes from the paper. I will try to do one daily, starting now.
