So I have not been doing well with my challenges I have not even manged to do a post for February. Will try harder in April but the first week is going to be a right off. I am so busy at work and have decided to reread one of my favourite series, it’s easy reading and it’s calming my stress levels. In February I read 5 books and in March I read 4. Terrible I know. I am going to combine the books I read in the two months. Click the pictures to see my review.

witches and witchcraft 2014books on france

I still have not read any books for either of these challenges, since the France one is only 3 books that’s not too bad, but 20 for the witches and witchcraft challenge is going to be very difficult if I do not get a move on.

How are you going with all the challenges?

Challenge Update: January

I only read 8 books in January, I can do better and I will do better in the coming months. Here’s what I read for the each challenge and where you can find details for each challenge. Clicking the picture of the challenge will take you to it’s sign up post. 🙂

netgalley challenge

I am planning to read 50 books over the year, in January I read 5, so I am on track. I read:

taste of darkness  A great end to a fantastic series by a talented author. You can see my review here.

24th roomI did not enjoy this book, I am sorry to say. The best rating I have seen it given is 2 stars out of 5, I hate giving books bad reviews but there was no way around it. You can see my review here.

richard hammonds great mysteries This a good exciting book, full of myths and legends. You read my review here.

the vanishing I loved this book, it was everything I wanted and more. I would recommend it to everyone. You can see my review here.

Treason It had bits that seemed a little too modern, but it was a really enjoyable read other than that. You can read my review here.

As many readers and bloggers, I have a huge to be read pile, and I am trying to tackle it. Yes I keep buying more, so it is growing but I am getting through some that have been on my shelf or kindle for years.

I am going for between 21-30 books in 2014, I managed 2 in January, so on track, not quite as good as I would like though. I read:

spychild This had been sitting on my kindle since I bought it about 2 or 3 years ago, thought it was time to delve into it, so glad I did it was great. You can read my review here.

City_of_ember I loved this film and decided to read the book, glad I did as it was really enjoyable, I am looking forward to the next one in the series. You can see my review here.

books on france

I unfortunately not read any books for this challenge yet. I have set myself a goal of 3 for the whole year, so I still have plenty of time to do this.

witches and witchcraft 2014

I did not manage any books for this challenge either, it is my favourite genre so I am sure I will be able to reach my goal of 20 in a year.

I am trying my best not to use one book for more than one challenge, it may happen to a few but I would prefer not to.

Which challenges are you doing this year and how are they going?

Happy reading bookworms, Emma.
